Chuck's Reading List

Many people have asked me for book recommendations, and the right selections often depend on individual interests. The books below reflect a range of areas I’ve found especially valuable, including biographies, entrepreneurship, investing, private equity, real estate, business history, and financial crises. I’ve always been particularly drawn to biographies because they allow you to spend 10–20 hours figuratively sitting next to someone as they go through their life’s ups and downs. Collectively, these books offer perspectives on leadership, decision-making, risk, and the forces that shape markets and organizations. While each approaches these themes differently, all provide lessons that are broadly applicable across careers and industries.
